howdy from Bend Oregon 79 KZ1000ST

Just picked up my 1st bike ever!
Ive always snowmobiled and I own a European and Asian auto repair shop.
Sold my pristine 87 BMW 325ic and bought this KZ1000st for $800.
Its a runner and in great shape.
Leaks oil when tilted on the kickstand from the cover via the seal .
needs a battery and the carbs leak gas butonly because its been sitting .
The more I run it the less it leaks at the carbs.
has 40k miles Kerker exhaust, K&N filter and stainless steel brake lines.

Needs
Battery
Seal for oil
plugs
gear oil
motor oil
Tires.

If anybody can help me find these items that would be great.
Also , where can I find a repair manual ?
Ebay ?

LOL , yes it was on craigslist and owned by a bike shop. It was in great shape just needs a small amount of sorting.

there is a thread with vintage articles and ads..maybe one of the members can find it..i struck out looking

but i posted a few articles on your bike crica 79-80

wal mart may have a battery....write your batteries info down ...they have a book in the isle and it will cross reference it.... the rest go to Z1 enterprises...you got a great price and a great start because it runs and is mostly all there..any coin you put into now is gravy imo.....

tire pressure set right and good new tires will save your butt and really sort out the gremlins from the ground up as far as eliminating things in order imo......

excellent score....those are under rated KZ's and rock hard
