Where are you at exactly? Anywhere along Interstate 68?

welcome.

you can machine out some slugs to connect both arms.be careful where you splice them or the arm will get wider.

bending up some new tube and replacing the tubing while re-using the pivot tube and axle plates would probably be as easy to do,and would keep it from being cobbled together.

thats my .02,ymmv.

yea i agree, i know there was talk about slugs rosette welded in then a bead ran around the circumfrence, i would love to buy one but money is tight. and i have 3 swingarms. maybe ill build a jig or wait till a trade comes about, i dont want sportbike 17s or a car tire i just want to put as big as i can on a stock rim and move out 6 or less inches. thank you both for the warm welcome, i have owned ducatis, gsxrs,a 67 triumph tt chopper etc but my kz ill keep forever.

maybe look out for a 600/700 92 (or so)katana swingarm.they fit the chassis with some shim washers and would get the extension you are looking for.plus they are made of steel so you can easily weld dual shock brackets on.should be able to find one cheap enough.

Yes, that's me. If you want some really good local help, fire a PM to DFIGPZ. Good guy & knows his stuff. He's in Hagerstown also.
