first of all i would like to say this looks like a very well together forum. i found a lot of info about my bike so far. i just bought a 1982 kawasaki kz550 2 days ago and it needs a lot of work. it needs a clutch cable, new brake shoes (which i have never changed before), brake pads and rotor, battery and needs the carburetors cleaned out (which i also have no idea of what to do) i plan on making it a cafe racer which i can make my own seat. im just wondering how to change out the handle bars to clubmans. how do you take the throttle off without braking it? would any cables need shortened and if so how? any good web site to get cheap but good parts?
