New guy in Seattle

Just got this 1977 KZ1000. It's my first super bike. It has a bunch of modifications. One of them is an 18" front rim, which I like but the tire seems a little to skinny. It's a 90/90x18. What size would be best? The bike needs new tires front and rear. The rear tire is a 140/70x18, which I think is a good size but I'm open to suggestions. On the topic of the front wheel, the speedo is way off, I'm guessing that because of the different size wheel. Is there a different gear or something I can put in there to make it more accurate?
That's the only questions I have for now but I'm sure I'll have more.

Welcome. Don did good on that bike. Depending on what rim size you are running on the rear, you may be running too much tire on it. Depending on which tire/rim chart you look at, the 140/70 needs a 2.75-3.5 rim width.
You can safely go 100/90-18 on the front on a 2.15 rims width.

I'm another new KZ guy in Seattle this week - must be those 2 sunny weekends in a row, got us all excited to ride. ;)

This is the craigslist photo, as I don't have it yet - I pick it up in 7 days and 3 hours from now :)

Not that I know of but I liked mine so much I considered buying that one too. There's a motorcycle meet up on the 2nd Wednesday of May at Darrel's Tavern 18041 aurora ave north. Show up if you can. I know a few other guys that plan to go on kz's and z's
