New to KAWI with a badass Broken KZ650

Hey everyone, I've been riding all kinds of bikes my whole life but just got my first Kawi last week. A good friend is giving up riding for a bit to calm his wife down after her brother just got in a serious wreck. He gave me his 78 KZ650 that has rod knock. I think it's definitely worth fixing as he has replaced all chassis bushings/bearings, rebuild the forks, put zx6r tokicos up front and lots of other little upgrades.

mmmmm XR1200...So how do you like that Sportster? I would love to have one but not sure on the ride and the Dealers around here wont let you test ride one.

Craigslist, Little Rock had a kz 650 dirt cheap, dont know if your from Arkansas? saw the tag on your bike, I live in central Arkansas.

I love the XR...it's the only new HD I've ever wanted and I have a good time flogging it and dragging a knee through the twisties of the ozarks up here. It is a little heavy, little underpowered and a bit overpriced IMO but has a character none of my other bikes have had. I would not buy without a test ride.

I'm up in Benton county...a few hours from LR. I'm hoping to find something more local but I'm not opposed to a day trip.
