a project thread is a good thing to help people keep up with what you are doing, and to document your build.

Currently live in stillwater. But im moving to denver in the fall. This is my first bike build. Before i was more of a drag car fan but iv been riding since i was 8 and decided i might as well do a bike next since they are cheaper and faster. Then my friend had an old kz650 that his dad hot rodded back in high school so its got a few aftermarkets and runs good but looks like hell so for 500 bucks i picked up a perfect cafe project

Will do! Ill start a build thread tomorrow and post some pictures of the current stage which is just scratching the surface of tear down. As soon as my mustang is sold ill do some serious work. Since money is short when ur a line cook for a eskimo joes sister restraunt. But soon will be clubmans, bar end mirrors, and ceramic wrap on the exhaust

Wellcome from another Newbie. I will follow along with your build as I am interested in turning my newly aquired KZ1000CSR into something similar to a Mad Max style bike,

this isn't necessarily a mad max style.

but i have always wanted to give this treatment to a csr1000.
