new guy from the midwest was created by hesh.monster
Been riding now for just over a year and came to this site off a google search for clubman bars on a kz lol, go figure. I found everything I was looking for and more. I'm no stranger to the forum game and it seems like you guys have a really nice community vibe here so I went ahead and joined up.

I ride a 1983 KZ750 SPECTRE, all stock at the moment with just a hair over 10,000 original miles but plenty of work planned for it. I tracked down some NOS Dunlop Qualifiers on ebay to replace the rubber, new ignition coils on the way as #2 is weak. Clubman bars and homebrew rearsets are in the works along with a twin dominater headlight setup. I bought this bike off Craigslist for 800 bucks, put about 200 into it and rode the tail end of last summer. It was a blast and this coming season looks to be even better when I get rid of those awful mini buckhorn apehanger bars lol. Anyway, I look forward to chatting it up with some of you and lurking through the tech section. I'll upload a shot of the bike when I get one on my phone.

HAPPY RIDING!

Edit: added picture, this was right after removing the Windjammer and I hadn't replaced the headlight yet, but you get the idea.

I'm pretty jazzed about picking up a black and gold one, around here all I have seen is a few red and black and not very many at that.

The only reason it's in the shape it's in is because the previous owner (only other owner) had it covered in his garage for about 8 years. Most of the 200 I spent getting it running was carb work and a battery. Luckily I have a brother-in-law that works at a Kaw dealer, got a decent price on new jets and having him sync them after I got it all cleaned up and put it back together.
