new guy from Wisconsin

I have been lurking for awhile and finally decided to hop on. I am "new" to bikes I have/only own(ed) one bike. It's an 81 kz650. I bought it 4 yrs ago learned to ride on it then 2yrs ago I decided to do an over the winter freshen. Well 3 jobs a Marriage and a new baby later the bike is bare frame. I am going in the fighter direction with the build. This is my ever full in depth build of this magnitude and first time doing any thing wiht a motorcycle. I used to flip lawnmowers in high school for some side cash and I am a big car and truck guy but have only ever had space and tools for small simple "upgrades". Almost all of the information that I have dug up about modifying this bike have come from here so I figured I would get on the site so I could fully utilize this site. I will be posting in the projects section for some feedback and to give more info about the bike in general. Thanks in advance!

DoubleDub you are extremely close! This is and will be my only bike till it's done. If I got another one I would never finish! Hahaha. Maybe we can link up for some garage/build time! I see you have a 650 build going on as well. It would be nice to talk kz with someone who would understand!
