Rear Brake Shoes. Be sure to replace the rear brake shoes if their age is unknown. The adhesive that binds the lining to the shoe can fail over time, so when the lining comes of it gets jammed between the shoe & drum, locking the rear wheel. It happened to me.
KZ440 Stock Airbox. Treat the stock airbox with kid gloves. I mentioned this in your other topic, but I'll do so again: the KZ440 needs the stock airbox to run right. So, if you remove it, be careful with it & don't damage it during removal. 440 airboxes are hard to come by. The airbox cap even more so. Good luck.
thanx for the advice.. i was lucky in that it runs like a champ! even in the 20 degree wisconsin weather she starts up and runs pretty good with a litte choke.. i was really lucky in that regard..
i did take a look at the air box.. it's intersting that it's that significant.. i thought it looked pretty dinky.. i dont think mine has what i'm guessin was a foam type filter either.. but i've only ran it through the gears on the center stand since theres snow on the ground..
so that brings me to my next question.. can you get away with the normal pain of pods exhaust and jets? i was looking at a K&N type non pod filter that's kinda open, it claims that you dont need to rejet...
brake drums.. that makes sense.. i'll add it to the list..
i'd with it was warmer.. girlfriend not a fan of workingon the bike in the living room..

im actually kinda wierded out by the belt.. my other bike is a track prepped zx6r, so i'm much more familiar with the new fangled things like disk brakes and chains... i know the newer buells used belts but outside of that i feel more warm and fuzzy with a chain.. but hey this whole project is me breaking out of my normal box;))
