Should'of started 'ere

Sorry for posting elsewhere before introducing meself. I've been riding since 1980 and have owned KZs, or Zs as they're named here, ranging from 400 to 1300 cc, from 2 to 6 cylinders. Currently own 2 Z650s that together will make one good one and one virtually complete, if shoddy, parts bike.

They look very much complete, and I suspect you can get both of them looking and running really great without too much trouble. Be sure to preserve the stock exhaust system that's on the red one if it's anywhere near as nice as it looks. That's one item that getting very difficult to find in good shape. I noticed the Euro style grab bar on the black one; where are you located? Ed

Welcome on board.
Looks good, like the black one but I'm partial to black, truck, suv, bike, all black.

I live in Norway. The red bike is a US import and will need some taxes paid if I want to register it. That could happen if I decide to upgrade it somewhat with more modern wheels and suspension, but so far I have no concrete plans - although I do lust for something like this:

I plan, however, to use the US grab bars on the black bike simply because they look better. I also plan on using the exhaust system from the red bike - I prefer to use the stock system instead of putting it on a shelf.

Yes, I do pester the lot over at the Twins forum as well ;) I sold my Z400 many years ago, but I still like to join the forum Ibsen instigated, mostly because it's a well sorted and very friendly place.
