Hello,

I was just given a 1978 KZ1000 by a friend's father. My friend passed away a couple weeks ago and his father thought i should have his bike. It has some damage due to a lay over and slide, but other than that it is spotless. My friend bought it in 1978 and has kept it in excellent condition. I will be looking for some good used parts sources.

This is my second Kawasaki, i owned a 1993 EX500, and i currently ride a 1975 Yamaha XS650. I will be selling the Yamaha, i can't afford more that one motorcycle.

I am looking forward to knowing ya'll. I will post some pictures soon.

Welcome to the neiborhood! I'm sorry to hear of your friend...was he riding when he passed?

My friend died while riding this bike. No one nows what happened, he just went down and slid. The bike wasn't torn up very much at all, so his Dad was very pleased that i wanted to put the KZ back on the road. My friend was offered money for it many times but wouldn't sell it to just anyone. It will be my memory of him every time i ride.
