My first Kawasaki!
20 Oct 2011 01:19 - 20 Oct 2011 01:23
Hello fellow KZ riders.
My name is Allen and I live in the Pacific Northwest (Seatac, WA). I am 19 years old (yesterday was my birthday  ) and I am working at Firestone Complete Auto Care.
I have been a Suzuki guy for the past 2 years.
Here is my very first project. A POS Suzuki GS850G. I really have no idea why I bought this. I guess I was a bit excited BWAHAHAHA!!! Sold this 1 month later.
My next bike is a 1980 Suzuki GS450L. Here's a before picture.
And here it is one year later. Unfinished and sold.
Finally, my 1983 Suzuki GS1100E. Before....
After 4 months. Then sold it.
If you guys are interested in my previous Suzuki projects, I have videos on Youtube. Check them out. I plan to make videos for the Kawasaki as well!

And now, my current ride. A 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 with a KZ750E engine. I plan to keep this one.
Has some tasteful mods done to it already but I will explain later on. Perfect runner!
Hope to enjoy my time here. A friend said that this was THE place to go to for KZ stuff.

Welcome to KZR, happy belated birthday, and congrats on the new bike! It looks to be in fairly decent shape...though I hope that is paint on the wheels, and not rust! The 750 E motor is a good one IMO...I love mine.

Aye, welcome. Your other projects look pretty interesting, can't wait to see what you plan to do with this one.
And yes, happy belated birthday.

Hello and welcome to KZR! You may recognize me as testarossa over at GSR as well. I actually posted in your thread about this bike over there. I was going to direct you here but someone beat me to it. Anyway, good luck with the KZ650/750. That engine swap is a fairly popular modification. Keep those pictures coming.

Thanks guys! I have one question. Since it has a 1982 kz750 engine, will a kz650 exhaust fit? Will a kz750 exhaust fit?

Welcome.
Either a 650 or 750/4 exhaust will fit.

Welcome! I lived in that area for a while before making the 3000 mile trek out here to NC, beautiful area and lots of great places to ride once you get out of the traffic, best places on the east side of Snoqualmie.

Re: My first Kawasaki!
20 Oct 2011 21:14 - 20 Oct 2011 21:20Sweet! So... Is the KZ650 engine basically the same thing as the KZ750 engine? Just bored out, right? They look the same to me lol.rstnick wrote: Welcome.

Perhaps I should just use the cross reference from Babbitts instead of asking these questions lol.
EDIT:
I want a KZR patch. This is where I end up.

I want to pay with Paypal. Where do I send the money to via Paypal?
EDIT AGAIN:
Found it!
