Old Bike, Older Rider

Both of us going strong and happy to be here! Have no bike pictures but it is a stock '80 750-4 LTD. that runs well. Have already received good help in the technical forum. I live in Northern California in some real nice riding country and am transplanted from BC and Alberta - great riding country also except their weather management isn't so good.

Well I guess there isn't much we can do about it - except how we handle it! The jury is still out on that one but from time to time I see a glimmer of hope! And thanks for your welcome.

A warm welcome aek from a neighbor (British Colombian)! So, did you move down with a truck full of cheap gas?!?
I was just in Northern California for the the first time a couple of weeks ago with 4 friends. What a nice place to be in if you like riding!!! My god! I sure hope you will enjoy it, the scenery is very, very nice!!!
Mine's a 1983, and I'm getting up there too... You're not dead, keep riding!!
Cheers man!!

Well thank you all. I live in Grass Valley. I came here in 1962 to work for my father for a year. I came down on a '60 Bonneville. I bought it new in Calgary AB. I believe it was one of two in the province at the time! In 1960 a Bonneville was a pretty quick machine and I had an awful lot of fun running down Harleys! Hell, I had a lot of fun period! Again thanks.

Polar Bear, I moved to Grass Valley from Kamloops which I consider a riders paradise. Anywhere near you? (I was born in Chilliwack.)

I'm in Port Coquitlam, closer to Vancouver. But I do make a point of riding in the interior around Kamloops, Kelowna and Nelson every summer. You're right that is beautiful country for riding a motorcycle (of boating, or skiing, or bicycling... take your pic).
Cheers man!
