I guess I figured anyone in NW KS is used to having a lot of distance between themselves and "close" people.

im been searching for some land in that area ,you guys have a little bit nicer winters than we have. :laugh:
i was thinking someplace between manhattan-abilene close enough to the city to get stuff when needed but still far enough that i dont have to deal with the city

Out north/south of Manhattan is actually really nice and there are lots of little towns here and there for short trips to get things.
