New member in France was created by StewartP
Hi all, I've been living in France for 8 years now.

I am in the process of registering my 1991 z750 P( (GT750). I've had the bike since 1993. Also in the process of selling the 500cc KLE I've had for the last year.

Welcome to KZR! Any member from France MUST post many pictures of his bike in the French countryside. You have to have some of the best motorcycling roads in all the world. At least looks like it from what I have seen on the Tour De France.

Yep, in general the roads here are very smooth and well maintained. The part of France we live in is very rural and hilly, not much road traffic.
Biker solidarity is international and French bikers look out for each other just as they do all over.
Another similarity: French harley riders don't wave to ther bikers either....

French Harley riders. Now there's a unique mental image. How does the exhaust on a French Harley sound "Pomme de terre, Pomme de terre, Pomme de terre." See it works in french as well. :)

The 750 is a shaft drive, the fairing is non standard.

The little KLE went into a french on-line small ads tonight. Advertised at 1200€ I'd accept 1000€

Technically, yes it is for bicycles. There are however an alarming number of motorcycles for camera crews, escorts, support etc. In fact many of those motorcycles are Kawasakis. I have watched the Tour for many years now. I got hooked by Lance, but now I'm a fan of the sport not just one cyclist.

Nah. I'm not his biggest fan these days. I tolerated him during the glory years, but I never liked his arrogant attitude. His "story" was enthralling at the time, and he did bring a lot of people to cycling in the US. Actually, I have always been a bigger fan of George Hincapie. That guy seems like a down to earth dude, and he always works is butt off for whatever team. That's more honorable to me. Amongst the current crop of top riders, they all seem to rub me the wrong way. Cadel, Alberto, Andy S, are all a little too self absorbed for my taste. I loved how Thomas Voeckler pushed them to the finish this year. That must have been a good time for the French fans.

Sorry for the cycling hijack. :silly:
