Happy! was created by markthink
Simply put, as does my youngest nephew..Happy, with a big nod to all. Will share some pics of my new toy: 83 KZ1100 LTD. Garage score, 5700 miles...runs well (drove it on the trailer) but hasn't been roaded since 2000.... 28 days to COG in VT and adding maybe a third to the mileage. Much to do before then, but that is for the other forums.... for now, Happy.

Welcome to KZR! That bike is really clean. Nice garage find. You might consider new tires. Those look vintage to me. Even if they have tread, old tires are no good.

Nice find, and I agree on the tires, those do look purdy old.

Thanks all- means a lot. Cruising this site I couldn't conceive of summing the decades of experience and expertise; I feel fortunate. Picked up a nice fresh (under a year) set of sticky Dunlop take offs out of an HD shop. Already got her in to the carb expert for a flush & synch and tire swap due to time constraints, also rear shocks...following leads here on matches..progressive vs. sporty take offs.

Funny story: got her loaded up last night, pulled in to a local shop for a grinder. Full dress fat boy pulls in, says "nice trailer ya got there" with chuckles. To wit, counter simply "Ayup, an 83." The lookback and subsequent chat: priceless. Love your KAWS, see you on the road!

Your top/rear trunk looks a tad longer than mine! Must have evolved a bit in two years.
Nice rig!

Bike looks like it's in great condition! Did you say you found it in a garage or in a motorcycle dealership showroom? :) Ed

Thanks Medina. I'm not sure of the trunk, I know at one point there was a change to the way the lid works. Figured I'd at some time run the serial numbers by Craig- I sent pics a while back and he was curious. Sounded like he's be happy hear from folks keeping it on, could be interesting.

Ed, thanks. I don't think it has spent many a night outside. By the last sticker it was a little over a decade under wraps. Got some wear from prior use as do we all, yet still felt lucky.
