Thanks Rainman..Now that were 50 + is it just me or are old Kaws a little rough riding ? I have new Progressive shocks and fork springs, didn't seem to help. My last bike was a CB 750 Honda, 1974. Maybe just too many years on me.

Welcome from the oldest fart here.Lol.30+ year old suspension technology on a fairly heavy scooter doesnt add up to a soft ride IMO.Might try a lighter fork oil, have a good upholstery shop add another inch or so of padding to your seat, or a discreet longer rear swingarm swap (Suzuki GS1000/1100e) to get her lower to the ground.Otherwise, welcome to the age of permanent bleacher butt.lol.bj

Thanks for the reply hocbj23. The guy that helps me work on my bike says I should be using 15w fork oil because I am 6' 2'' and 250 lbs. and that it's just a short wheel based bike and quit bitchin, it's going to ride this way. Good idea on the seat foam, I will look into that. Kinda got a case of ass-a-tol..never did have much ass at all. LOL Strat

hell i run 30w motor oil in all of my forks,5'11" 200lbs .i found that having seat recovered in leather vs vinyl makes a hell of a differance in comfort level B)

Thanks for the tip on the seat Wireman..There has just got to be something that will take some of the shock out of this seat...I really like this bike, but in my area our roads are a little rough and I find my self lookin for the not so rough ones. My brother has a Harley springer softail and says he is not having this trouble. He's 7 yrs. younger, maybe thats it.

Kaw manual calls for 10w-15 fork oil,but they quit making the multi-grade a few years back. They do make 10w and 15 w so when I change mine I do a half and half mix.Wireman is right about leather vs. vinyl--leather does ride easier but takes a bit more maintenance.I recently switched to Hagon rear shocks and that helped my ride quite a bit.I too have a bad case of Noassatol so I look for comfort at every opportunity.Lol.bj
