Update on the 82 440

Have been just pluggin away when we can, Jake wanted to go with his favorite hockey team colors ( go canucks go )and I wanted flat black. His bike his choice, I just had to figure out how to make a bike blue and green and not have it look like a fruit salad!

Plus the fact I have never painted before, lol.

Anyway the frame is done and painted and drag bars put on, not sure if I will change them out for I have clubmans and clip on's as back ups. Let me know what handles you guys would go with.

I decide to go with the two colors and do it with a racing stripe style.

Engine should be going back in the next few days!

Its not perfect but I hope it looks good for the first go.

1 coat of the blue down, I'll have the green down the middle with 2 thin white stripes down either side.

Engine back in, tires and rims done, Had the clubmans on and they looked to cluttered.

Having a bit of trouble with the paint! I find a blemish or fuzzy and that's all i see, mostly its me being to fussy,oh well from a rattle can and in my garage I shouldn't expect to much.

Next few days......Detailing all the handlebar mechanics,Q-tips a little model paint, lotsa time.
Then, da da daaaa the electrical!

I also have a antique solo seat coming from fleabay, I don't know exactly how it will look yet, I'll post more pics when it comes in.

So far I have only put out $25 for the bars and $65 for the seat, the rest is cleaning supplies sand paper and paint.
Not counting the hours cause its like therapy :woohoo:

Got to put white race stripes down the tank and do the fenders and lights. The boy is getting pumped.
Thanks for looking.
