Hey everybody, newbie here to the KZ family. I just picked up a non-running, but clean '75 KZ400 at a swap meet for 250 bucks. 5,000 miles on the odometer. Motor is free and everything is there. Guy who sold it said it ran fine before it sat in a barn for the last 6-7 years. I am looking forward to getting the old girl up and running and making it my own. This will be a new experience for me, since I've only owned well running motorcycles that only needed basic maintenance before. Can't wait!

Here is the only pic I got so far, right after I got it off the truck... and yeah, I got that sweet helmet at the swap meet for 8 bucks too... couldn't resist! lol

Welcome to KZR! Looks like a really complete bike for $250. Did you get a title for that price? I bet with a carb cleaning, oil change, and a proper tune up, it will start up.

Welcome to world of KZ! The small twins are very neat little bikes. They have a nice classic look to them. The 400's are pretty bullet proof, souldn't need more than Testarosa suggested to make it go. I would reccomend a finding a Factory Shop Manual. Kawasaki's manuals are very good, much better than the Haynes or Clymer's. Good luck with your new bike. Keep us posted.

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.
