Hello KZ Newb Upstate NY!

Here is my 1977 Kz650B that I picked up tonight. I found it on CL. It runs but not that well> I am told by PO that carbs need a good cleaning as its been sitting around a year.

You may also want to verify that the bike has been rejetted for the pods and pipe.

That was my next question. The carbs need to be cleaned so I might as well make sure the jets are right while im in there. So with 4-1 and pods what should the jets and needle setting be? Horseheads,ny

I'm near Kingston, not quite as 'upstate' as you. I'm not sure what you would need, I have 550's mostly, but there are a lot of experienced 650 owners on this forum. Dig through the "carb" section, and I'm sure you'll find plenty of info.

Thanks guys I just tore down the carbs tonight for cleaning and after some research I am going to try 112.5 main 17.5 pilot and 4th slot on the needle.
