Great site! Well since I was a little kid there were a handful of riders in Germantown MD that would ride these late 70's dropped loud kz1000's around and I feel hard! I just finished a cb750 cafe project and sold it this spring, picked up a 2002 zx9r ninja to replace. And now im ready to build another bike....i know its not everyones cup of tea but I will be building a 4-6" stretch, lowered, raked, and restoration. It will be more of a weekend racer and light street use.

My questions are I seem to be looking at a 1978 kz1000 at the moment for 600$. What are the advantages/disadvantages in the 77-78 and are parts somewhat obtainable? Thanks everyone

no pictures yet, ive looked at it and it seem okay..lol better than my honda was when i bought her. It doesnt have a wiring harness but on ebay they seem damn cheap and easy to get. Im trying to arrange a time to meet again this weekend and possibly haul her home,
