finally, a kwak!! was created by cnote
hi guys. my name is carnell. been lurkin around here for a couple years. although i've dreamed of rickman frames, z1s, z1rs, and ltd kz1000s i ended up with an 85 gpz900r. been sittin a couple years, needs some tlc/upgrades. i plan on replacing hoses and fluids, cleaning carbs, aka tune up. any suggestions from former/current gpz owners would be greatly apprectiated! can one retrofit a full zx9r exhaust to gpz? saw good deals on ebay... thanks guys

Welcome and Congrats on the GPz900, just bought one myself.

Dont think the ZX9 exhaust will fit. But I've seen early ZX10, and ZRX1100/1200 pipes retro fitted to the GPz9...but the sump is deeper on the GPz900 so the head pipes need to be cut and lengthened. Definetely not a bolt on.

thanks for the reply. was hoping it would be a lil more straight forward. i've found plenty of 4-2, i'm looking for a 4-1 megaphone type like the muzzy and brocks for the zrx.. i've followed your gpz post, nice bike. oh well, need to focus on gettin her back on the road.. thanks again
