I bought three project bikes from a guy for $550.00 this last July 2010.Bought the kz 650 clymer book and went to town using the best parts from the three bikes.Two were B1's and one was a custem.The only title the guy had was for the custem wich was fine with me for I liked the brake set up.Clean and jet the carbs,set the points cleaned all wire conections,greased/oiled everything,cleaned and repainted frame tank covers,changed all fluids..Put fuel in it and to my surprize it fired right UP!!! Man this engine is strong all I did to the engine was clean the out side and put clean Lucas 20-50 racing oil in it.Took the Bike to the locale drag strip and ran 13.90's all day long one of the bikes had some nice after market pipes that I used,so it sounds great too.Well after riding all last summer and bringing it to car/bike shows.People love to look at and talk about it.. well long story short I'm hooked!! this bike is a blast to ride.Now all I want to do is make it better by shinning it up.. I took it apart this winter and My bench buffer is turning the alummimum into a chrome like finish.

Nice job on the bike. I started out on 78 650cc in 79, ran perfect and was a looker. I'm southwest of Chicago (Oak Forest) and visit car and bike shows most every weekend. Let me know where and when, and we'll meet up on day. Love to see the old Kaw's on the street.
