New member with quick question

Hey folks, glad to come on board!
Nooby to the KZ world here in the Pacific NorthWest. I am looking to purchase a KZ very soon and wanted to deviate from stock and mildkzly customize to a streetfighter/cafe racer type. My question is that I recently saw a 1980 1000 ltd on craigslist and am just wandering if the rake of the front end (more cruiser like) will be a good fit for this type of project or if I need to look for a different model and year?
any help much appreciated!

Cheers

I'd go with a standard model instead of the ltd. Don't know if it's raked out more but if so you've answered your own question - not desirable IMO. The Ltd has a drop in the frame behind the tank which makes it less suitable for a tail conversion. It also has 16" rear wheel, if you're planning to stay with the stock wheels 18" (standard) would be better.
