hello from Visalia, ca
23 Oct 2010 06:12
Just wanted to say a quick hello. I just got my 78 LTD after a long process of convincing my Uncle it should be mine....6yrs. Looking forward to some good tech threads and opinions. Here is what I'm starting with.

Welcome Mr C.
Are you sure that is an LTD? The reason I ask is that it has an 'A' model front end. And a left exit pipe...do you know what the make is?

That big rear disc looks killer with the spokes. How's the braking though seems like it would be kinda too much brake in back and not enough in the front.

Thanks......I had a R100GS and a XR650 before this bike and I thought something was wrong with the front brakes on this. The back will lock with no problem. I felt it was kinda sketchy, but now have gotten use to it and make sure to use just a little foot. That big rear disc looks killer with the spokes.
