Hey,
Back in the day i used to have an old KZ LTD, it was a nice bike and i had a lot of fun with it but had to get rid of it. Ive been wanting to get another one for awhile, i have some plans to bob one and make a nice project out of it. I found a 550 LTD through the local craigslist. It looks great, starts easily and runs and sounds strong.Everything seems to work on it and it has about 10,xxx miles. it passed my inspection, the only thing is that it needs a new front tire, the chain is pretty loose and needs replacing and the guy says it has a bit of a problem starting when cold. The problem is that my limit was set at $500-600 and the guy wants $950 cash only for it. You guys think its sounds like its worth it, cuz i doubt he'll let it go closer to my price.

welcome...worth it is relative...shitty answer i know...but they go for 100 sometimes and sometimes they go for 950...it depends how many bikes are kicking around your area and how bad you wanna get back into bikes ,like right now!......

it is hard to find any size kz with 10xxx miles for around 600 imo....

that said the paint is re-done....drops it...

the thing needs stuf...."...."

is the paper work all tight/right and current?

the low miles...if true...these things can be driven 20 yrs with no speedo cable ect......

if you think the miles are right and you want "that" bike then spend what he will take and get that pony in the window...it's just money and you will be happy to have a bike again imo.....

all that said......if you got cash you may wanna widen your c-list search....700 can get more bike if you got any luck and a pinch of patience....welcome

Yeah, thats the thing thats throwing me off becuz they vary so much in price. the bike seems to be solid tho and looked nice in the first once over. The odometer makes me kinda nervous itd be great to get a bike with only 10,000 miles but who knows what it actually is. KBB books it at $795 so im gonna offer the guy $700 for it.

last thing and i leave ya to ponder....i know you may know this...but it's worht throwing into the mix ...buy? not buy? ..those kz550 motorcycles in every shape they made em are about as much fun as a guy can have in a normal ride...they are reliable and if you take good care to keep em up,new oil and tires ,ect...tough as nails....and they are way tooooo much fun to throw around....great bikes...anyone who has had one can agree there for sure....

most fun i ever had one summer was on a kz550 with a pipe
