Just got 1982 is750 csr twin for 250 bucks been sitting for a year only has 6500 miles got it started after 10 minutes running choked it would idle without the choke. Same as a lot it looks like the starter clutch isn't engaging, thinking about just taking the vlutch, chain and gear out to avoid fitted problems. I tell ya when it idled I kinda fell for the bike the twin sounds sexy!
I'm not much of motorcycle mechanic but thankfully I found this forum the info posted in here is invaluable to me!
Thanks! And nice to meet eveyone!

Welcome aboard. Be sure to change the oil and filter. If it's been sitting that long there's no telling when the previous owner changed it (if ever) plus by now it's probably full of condensation and contaminants. Ed

Welcome eddie eddy, new score to running bike in 10 min, very nice indeed. The call for pictures starts now.

A good investment is a factory service manual (E-bay, 20-30 dollars).

Good Luck,
Jim

Thanks for the greetings. I did buy a oil filter and some 10 w40 for her, had to order gasket for the starter clutch cover, and I downloaded the manual from online. Hopefully I can get it all in for this weekend I need to run it good before I have to winterize it.
