WOW! Glad to know your interesting in my old horses:)
Well here is some information:
Red bike - known as Reddy:)
350cc, aircooled, 1 cylinder, 2-stroke,brand and model: DKW NZ350. The story:
Me and my friends found this DKW into a sailo (well no to much of it was left) in a village in the mountains. It was manifactured in year 1944 - one of the last German bikes just before the end of World War 2. We start with the intention to rebuild it but ....well money were not enough- plan B - transformation to a custom. In the proccess of part research we found another wrecks from the same model - so the Blue Flame was born (this one with the saddlebags). Because we payed the great sum of 500 lv. (about 300$) - saddlebags come for free:). A winter of garrage working - and finally there is the result.:) These pictures are not their final status but their first ride. If someone is interested - I can write the full story of these bikes. One of the interesting things is that DKW is the predecesor of AUDI:) and the NZ350 bike is the predecesor of the most popular bike in the world ever - MZ (according to the statistics).

KevZ - nice to know there are other people riding this wonderfull bike. As far as I know here in Bulgaria we are only two people with KZ1100 (dont ask me how I found spare parts:). And YES Bulgaria is a very great place to ride if you like adventure:). And you ask me about bulgarian women...just a joke but acoording to me "the best a man can get" :).

I start to feel guilty that I have not so many pictures - but this situation will be changed! I sware!

There will be more after this weekend

ZHeel-

Nice to meet you. I'll be looking for some photos after the weekend. Would like to see your bike and some BG girls. What models are the blue and red bike?

You mean you didn't notice the saddlebags?

I think it was the prototype for the current Kawi Vulcans.

Welcome to KZr ZHeel, you're going to love it here! :)

Those are some really nice old skool style choppers you have in the link you posted.
I'm also curious as to what brand and models they are?

RetroRiceRocketRider :) - Right! This is baby VULCAN - currently I am feeding him and after four-five years it will became a mighty 1300cc VULCAN:)...
By the way VULCAN is the name of the best bulgarian company for biker staff made from leather. And these are one of the first things made by the founder of the company - the saddlebags are about 20 years old.

Welcome to the site zheel, you will find plenty of good info here. You sound like me, work on it during the winter and ride in the summer. I'll bet in your country all riders share a sense of unity. Here in the states most Harley Davidson riders don't associate much with us metric boys although it does seem to be getting better than it used to be. I was wondering what it costs for gas in Bulgaria? Yesterday I paid $2.90 for a gallon. Looking forward to your pictures :)

Well - here we measure the fuel in litres - 1 litre is 1.5$. Do the math by yourselef - here fuel is much expensive!
Speaking about bikers - yes there is a sense of unity as it is all over the world (I hope). And we have a few HarleyDavidson bikers (poor they - always something to fix :)) - usually here people like to watch Harley Davidson - but never will want to ride them - they are subject of jokes here. It's a little bit different to ride here:).

Good photos! What is the history of the cave paintings? And what species of lizard was that (Lacerta sp.)?

Well ...not a specialist on lizards but I can find some info on this. Cave paintings are done 8000 years ago form the mud in the cave mixed with bat's shits ( as we were explained by cave tour lady). The cave was ised since this period because it is cold in summer and warm in winter - form several senturies they produced in natural way sparkling wine (but were not so kind to show us where:)). There were findings from all the ages in this cave - it is about 3km long not counting the branch galeries.

Thanks for posting a link to your pictures...I enjoyed seeing them. You have some beautiful mountain terrain in Bulgaria!
Please take this as a complement...your friend on the Honda 500 looks like he walked off the set of the movie Mad Max with his nice old riding leathers. Cool!
There are alot of Mad Max fans here for obvious reasons and it's my wifes favorite movie ever. Could have something to do with young Mel of course. ;)
