I am the proud new owner of a 80-81 KZ550, I say 80-81 because the bike did not come with a title so I got a 81 frame/engine that came with a title off Craigslist.
I got it started but it only ran on #1 and #2 so I plan and trying out the other engine.
As you can see from the picture the prior owner stylishly covered the seat in duct tape, anyone know of a good place to get that recovered in the Chicagoland area?
The plan is to get it running now and then spend the winter taking it apart and putting it back together.
I have read through a bunch of the posts on here and this seems to be an awesome resource for new and struggling KZ onwers
