Hi,

Just recently finished a KZ400 project and now on to a 76 KZ900.

Already spoke to a couple of folks and already got some good info (and a warm welcome).

I'm going to post a thread on the KZ900 build here in a moment, but until then, here's some pics of the KZ400.

Just ordered a swing arm, shock and linkage from a '07 ZX-6r and looking for a similar vintage front end, so the KZ will have the advantage of modern brakes and shock, but thinking a lot about how to make sure it still feels old school.

It was (sold it to finance the new build). It was great in the canyons, and after dropping off the weight, it was pretty quick.

Thanks, Jim. Just ordered a swing arm off a 07 ZX6R and thinking forks from the same bike or GSX-R, so the bike will have radial disks and modern suspension. But I think the rest of the bike will be lots of exposed metal and a little dirty. I've been looking at Shinya Kimura's bikes a lot as of recent, and I'll probably will take a few cues from him and then see where the project goes.
