HELLO FROM THE LONE STAR STATE.. was created by FOBSTER
Well, after not having a bike for close to twenty years a deal fell in my lap and I couldn't pass it up. I bought a 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 A4 from a co-workers husband for $800.

It needs some TLC and a little of this and that and I am totally clueless about Kawasakis. I confess I am more than a little intimidated about some of the mechanical aspects of working on it. Hence, the reason I am here.

I can tell you one thing, after getting used to the bike and how it handles etc (which produced more than one "OH SHIT!" :woohoo: moments)I don't know why I sold my Super Glide and stopped riding for the last 2 decades. its all coming back to me now, the wind in your face, the freedom, the camaraderie, just the pure joy it is to hop on that beast and ride.

FOBSTER B)

had to lose that fairing and blue paint. Undecided as to where to beging or what to try and tackle first.

Welcome to KZR from a fellow Texan. What part of the state are you in? I'm gonna guess hill country from that red dirt I see. Fredricksberg, Llano, Burnet? We'll be happy to help you keep that bike on the road. One pointer is to include your location and specifics about your bike in your signature line. That way it shows up on every post. Everyone will instantly know what model we're talking about, and if we are physically close enough to come help out.

Are my eyes deceiving me or is your kickstand on the right side of the bike? :side:

Welcome aboard. Since you're undecided here's a link to an idea you may like. You already are heading in this direction with the flat black paint and emblems removed. A little more work and presto, you'll be there. Good luck. Ed

Kustom KZ

Note: I cannot understand why no bids yet?
