New Member

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I am from eastern Canada and today I bought my first Kawasaki, a 1979 KZ1000 Mk2. Its a bit rough but it runs, gotta work on a chattering clutch and one cylinder is cold. It has good compression though so I have to dig into it. Anyway, I look forward to conversing with you. I am also a member of the gsresources forum as I have a 1980 Suzuki GS1000G I have rebuilt.

Hey John welcome to the site! Sounds like you have a sweet bike to get you going. I dont know how all the Canooks are getting all the barn find MKII's but it's making me want to move up there. :laugh:

Actually I just met the guy I bought it from at a local coffee shop biker hangout last night and we got to chatting and he mentioned that he might want to sell it. I got his phone number and came home to do some research on this bike. It didn't take long to figure out that this bike was sought after. Its now in my shed, awaiting surgery.
