Hey From Alexandria VA

I've gotta say, this is an incredible site. I've seen lot of forums cluttered with useless things, but you guys are obviously well versed in what you do and that's refreshing.
I'm actually not yet an owner - *hangs head* - I'm picking up my first motorcycle on Saturday; a 1975 KZ400S. It's in decent condition, but I've already got the carb rebuild kits on the kitchen table ready to be used.
My first question: I'm in Alexandria, VA (about 11 minutes up 395 from DC) and I'm looking for:

1) Other KZ owners willing to share their knowledge and expertise and;

2) Someone who can show me, at the very least, how to start and putt around on my bike. That's right, I don't know how to ride, but I was hunting and came upon a great deal - putting the cart before the horse, I know.

Anyhow, input from any source would be appreciated! Thanks, folks!
