I just picked up this 79 KZ out of Miami. I like the bike a lot, but i would like to see a lower profile stepped seat on it. Any suggestions???

welcome...have you thought about calling around to see what shops where you live do bike seat recovering?...that is gonna be my next move because i want a stepped seat and some stitching pattern and special materials...this way i can discuss in person and show some pics of what want...mail order/online is done one way and like it or leave it but pay to try it ect...if it is just a stock seat cover then that is no big and i will order one online.....i have seen some folks on here get some really nice seats made exact to order from their local upholstery guys for really fair prices and the finished product is top notch

The zrx seat works well for me.

76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

I'll go ahead & mention Sargent Cycle in Florida for getting your seat redone. Others from a few years ago said they do good work. It's been a while since anyone's mentioned them, though.

i can put u in touch with a zrx seat guru if u are interested. he charges about $225 to customize it and put a new skin on it.B)
