Hello My name is Kenny Hicks. I'm a Technition at a local GM Dealer in Indiana. My Father-in-law gave me my KZ650 a few years ago. It sat in a barnyard for about 8 years or more before I hauled it to my house and started to check it over to see what it was gonna take to get her up and running.
Looks like a tear down, some rings, hone the cylinders, clean up the valves, (maybe a little port work while in there;) if anyone has some good pics of what good ports look like),chain and sprockets, Tires, 4into1, Switchs, maybe some Clubmans, and a lot of cleaning and painting. [/img]

You'll need some deep pockets, and a parts bike to do it. Get rid of the wiring that goes "through" the bars.
It looks like it sat outside for 15+ years, maybe you have a wet climate near the water?
Craigslist and Ebay will be your friends for many of the parts you need, although used is a gamble.

Ya Lakes all over this area. Lots of humidity;) It's not quite as bad as it looks, just a lot of exspensive little parts. I do have the side covers to it but just found them(they were MIA for a little while)after i took these pics.
