Hello from San Luis Obispo

Hey KZ fans, My name is Geoff and I recently acquired a 1979 KZ 750 Twin as my first bike and entry into motorcycles in general. I'm kinda thinking of doing a mild cafe style bike and I've already got clubman bars on it. Already got some electrical help from this forum and I'm looking forward to hanging here and learning as much as I can about my KZ and motorcycles in general.

That is a very good and reliable engine. Lots of low end torque. I think you will enjoy your project and enjoy riding it even more.

I had a nieghbor(laguna lake area) in SLO town in the eightes who had an old 750 twin in really good shape... older-bigger guy with a red beard...no way it could be his bike you think........
there are few older kawis still tucked/half forgotten in garages there i'm sure....and maybe a very rare lost mystery ship of the ten built according to Mr Vetter
I knew of about twenty kz's in the late 80'some were really somthing......
Wonder if it is the same guy....

SLO town was quiet a place to grow up i hear it's changed a bit....nicest weather in the nation on some polls.......
