Sold my 02 zx9r to build a custom kz1000. These bikes have more charcter and class than the cookie cutter sportbikes. Just picked up an 81 kz1000 LTD with a blown motor. Left bottom of case has an extra whole in it. Anyone know where I can get a bottom end to get this bike running again?

They're around. Keep your eyes open and one will turn up.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.

Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.

Welcome aboard...you have a 'J' motored bike and Kawasaki made 'J' motored bikes until 2005 (Police bikes). With the exception of shaft bikes, any lower end from a 1981-2005 'J' motor KZ1000/1100 should be a direct bolt-on. As for where to find a motor, or at least the cases...eBay, eBay, eBay.
