New member. Bike, 1979 KZ1000LTD
03 May 2010 01:01 - 03 May 2010 01:02
Hello all. This is my first post of many to come. I am the proud new owner of a 1979 KZ1000 LTD. 17,400 original miles, and in very good shape. I am fixing the PO mistakes and getting it ready to ride till next winter when I will do more to it. This is my second LTD, my first being a 1977 that I purchased in 1979. I loved that bike and now I have it back. (sort of) I am no stranger to bikes, my first at age 14 being at RD250. The 77 LTD was next, then in 1981 I picked up a 1977 Harley Davidson Lowrider, and kept it for 20 years. I sold it and bought (and still have) a 2000 HD Fatboy. I have some picture of my 77 LTD I will post later as well as the interesting problems I have found on the 79. I also have an invoice for a quote on a brand new 1977 1000LTD that I wanted but could not afford at the time. It was going to cost 3,800.00 out the door! Oh well, I got it 2 years later for 2,400.00. Thanks for reading my ramblings.
Jim

Welcome Jim ![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)
Nice rides you have there!
I have a real fondness for LTD Kaws. My friends and I all ran around on them back in our young days. We had a 77, 2 79's and an 80.
Man did they ever look good all parked together. Looked even better with some sweet young girls on the back cruising down the road
