Good Morning to All

Hello to all. I am a new member and thought I would post up a little about me and my bike. I live in Chattanooga,Tennessee,so if any members are around close or come thru, I will leave a number where u can contact me and I will meet u somewhere and buy u an adult beverage.Bike is a 1982 Kawasaki CSR 1000 "rescue". Sat in a shed in S.Carolina for 20 years in pieces. After a 2 year reassembly/ restoration, it is now a sweet running old scoot.Black powder coated frame, black mica tank, side covers and rear grab bar.Rebult forks, brakes and all bearings replaced.Suzuki GS1100E rear aluminum swing arm-shocks-chain guard-bearings.. 630 "O" ring chain.Bike is 2 inches lower and longer, which is good for me as my feet are now flat on the pavement at stops.Recvered seat in black leather with red piping.J model engine with 32mm Mikunis rejetted for a Vance and Hines Sidewinder pipe, street ported, Dyna S ignition. Oil cooler from an ELR.K and N filter in the stock air box(dont like the cone type).Front fork stabilizer from a Gixxer(Bike had a fairing induced speed wobble over 75 mph).EMGO "dolphin" fairing.Lots and lots of other goodies. Thanks, and call me at 423-296-0599 if ur near Chattanooga or come thru .April 29 will be my 72nd birthday so a young puppy I am not,but im still a kid at heart.bj

Thank u all for ur kind posts. Been ridin and fixin bikes for a long time but this was first attempt to put one together from the ground up,so to speak.Made a lot of mistakes along the way, but I learned a lot about Japanese engineering as well.As far as riding to church, actually the Vand H has a baffle in it and its pretty quiet--until u take the baffle out then all Hell breaks loose. Yes, I do indeed like to hammer on it occasionally and it always responds well.It is very quick, only medium fast by todays sport bike standards, handles very well for a 520 pound bike.It always draws a crowd wherever I take it.Invitation to call me if in the area extends to all, and I look forward to meeting some of u. Please ride safe.bj
