hello ,from the united kingdom

hi i have just resurected a 81 750 ltd .great straight original bar a 4into1 exhaust .
i am situated in lancashire in the united kingdom .
i hope topost some pics etc ,however i am trying to sort an anoying rattle when on the side stand ,see my post on the engine section.the rattle is very bad when it starts you thing someth
ings going to give ,blip the throttle & it quitetens down to normal .sounds like a chain flailing about ready to snap.
any ideas i have checked the obvious & sump is clean no debris etc,i have changed the starter clutch.i wonder if it could be the primary chain but it was within specs.

Have you tried to adjust the timing chain to eliminate the rattle?

hi mate ,ihave tried to ,however bike has a silly self adjuster 2 wedges & a spring .i have packed the spring & checked tension with the cam cover off ,seemed ok but the tensioner has no locking system so can back off .i am going to modyfy a spare tensioner i have to make adjustable with a bolt & lock nut.
