Hey there from Nova Scotia!

Ive decided after many years of eye balling bikes going up and down the road, and my father buying a victory a few years ago, to get a donor bike.

I like bobbers but not so much fancy crazy stretched choppers.

I acquired a 1980 KZ550C LTD. Frankly I find it really hard to find any 550C bobs/chops so I am trying to piece together information from the 440 (I think?) and kz650's projects.

I dont have many pictures yet and dont plan on posting a build until I am almost done so I dont keep enthusiasts from asking "UPDATES?? PICS??" haha. Thats how she goes.

Pic is a stock mint version of my bike. I wished I took a photo of how I found it. Layed over in a snow bank... but while lifting it out with a back hoe the operator busted the frame at the kickstand.

Mostly everything taken off, placed tank/seat on because I forgot to take pics before!

You can see where the frame broke/twisted, so I cut the kickstand right off:



I tacked a temporary sleeve over top of of the rails.

You are thinking totally wrong about not posting untill it is finished. The reason I say this is because when you come across a problem or a question which I am sure you will we are here to help ya. Some of us have projects that will never get done, I have a bike that I have had almost 30 years and it is still not done even though I ride it frequently. We will not pester you. Who knows, you might inspire someone else with a 550 to do some of the mods you will be doing. Nice bike by the way.
