How's it going! was created by kennethb
Hey everyody! I just recently purchased my first bike, a 78 KZ750, and I'm pretty excited about it. Problem is I can't tell my left from right! (Figuratively speaking of course) I can't wait to know my bike through and through, I'm just not sure where to start. Any tips? Just for example of how new I am to this, you could point out something on a bike and I wouln't know what it was.(Yet)

Also my first forum, so wish me luck, I'm sure gonna need it!

Yes! I have a suggestion...if you don't already have one, buy the Kawasaki Heavy Industries shop manual (aka FSM) for your bike...accept no substitutes (aka Clymers etc.). The Kawasaki manuals are marvels. Source for the manual is eBay...expect to pay between US$15 and US$25 w/out shipping. The part number of the manual is 99997-744-03 or ...04.

You have a clean bike and a good start (I like the 750 twins...never had one but the lines are appealing) and welcome, kennethb :) When I joined this forum in 2003 it was my first forum too.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationWelcome, It is a beautiful bike with beautiful lines. It runs very well and has plenty of power. It is also quite simple to maintain. Here is a link to a available service manual. I would jump on this sale because the books are harder and harder to come by.
