Hello all - I am a proud new owner of a 1983 KZ750 LTD. I am in the process of working with some hot-rod guys to chop it. It is pretty ugly right now, having been damaged in a garage fire, but my hopes are that it will turn into a unique ground pounder. My last ride was a 2001 Yamaha Warrior. Before that was a 2000 Suzuki Bandit 1200. I also raced sportbikes (R6, SV650, and GSXR 750). Back in the day I started out on a Honda Nighthawk 450.

And actually - it looks like the 1983 750 LTD is too cooked form the fire. I've got a line on another though - a '79 KZ 750 I-4.

I am looking to clean it up, find a dead sportbike rim for the rear. Bob the rear fender. Make it a hardtail. Sissy bar. Pillion pad. Maybe a jockey/suicide shifter, highway pegs. Drag bars.

Welcome, I live in the Denver area as well. As you know the weather can allow for some good riding during the winter here, but Mother Nature has not been so kind this year. Sand on the roads makes it a little tricky.
