Eric, welcome aboard! That bike is a beauty. I wouldn't change anything about it. I do recommend you get the Kawasaki factory service manual for your year/model; they are generally available on eBay (let us know if you have a problem finding one, we can help.) AFTER you get the manual you should change the oil and filter and other fluids (such as fork oil & brake fluid) and adjust normal maintenance items as described in the manual. I wouldn't recommend tinkering with anything until you get the manual as it is easy to create problems where there are none. My other recommendation is that you get 2 quality torque wrenches. One should be small scale (inch pounds) and one larger scale (ft lbs.) Wait until you get the manual then look at the torque spec chart. You can use that as a good guide to determine exactly whhatt scale torque wrenches you will need. Other than that, maybe a little metal polish on the engine (not on the chrome). And as stated earlier, take a rider's safety class; they really are worthwhile. Ed

I concur, it's a keeper just as it is. Keep in mind that fewer factory examples exist everyday (okay, so they're probably not disappearing quite that fast) and yours looks to be a beauty. Enjoy it!

Oh yeah, torture us with pictures from your rides. Welcome aboard.
