Well, hello to you all.
I passed my full UK licence last year and with my hard saved cash I bought myself a 1981 Z650 CSR, a US import i believe. A good first big bike?
It runs fine, and quite apart from looking stunning, I love riding it. Only been on runs around Scotland so far, although I am thinking of taking it to Spain in June. Am I mad to drive a 30 year old bike all that way, two up and with no mechanical experience?!
I haven't changed anything really, I think the previous owner had a wee bit of chrome-a-rama, so it isn't all standard. I added a rear rack, which involved moving the indicators back so I could fit my saddlebags on too.
It is pretty snowy here too, and it was -10 degrees last week, so she won't start just now, and I apologise for not cleaning up my chrome before posting these pics!
Any Scottish members come and say Haw You?
Looking forward to asking you all loads of questions once I have trawled the forums.
Loving everyone elses photos!

Nice bike seems to be in great shape. These bikes are very dependable so riding the countryside is not at all crazy. Ride hard and have a blast.

Great Looking bike....most of that chrome looks standard for the CSR. As far as long trips, I'd recommend getting a factory service manual and reading up on repairs/maintenance that might come up during a long trip (i.e. clutch cables, throttle cables, chain adjustment....)

I feel your pain on the weather. We're finally coming out of some bitter cold temps here in Colorado. -22 deg C in the mornings and we were lucky to get above -10 deg C in the day. Today it's 7 deg C and we're basting in the sun!
