Sounds like you still have trash in there somewhere. I have had to pull my carbs sometimes three or four times to get them right.

Yeah I might go through them again. Its not too hard to pull the carbs off with how the bike is now and it just started sleeting here.

I am 30 miles away and can find no white stuff. It is 35 degrees and raining though

You should start a thread about the elusive Florida snow :)

welcome I live in Jax fl. this weather is nuts. Sounds like your carbs are dirty try getting something like a paper clip to help clean them out. I completely disassembled mine and soaked them in Napas carb cleaner. took the paint off and cleaned them good. dont put rubber parts in ther as they will melt.

I am going to pull the carbs off probably tomorrow and have at the pilot jets. I've never worked on motorcycle carbs and have no idea how to tune them. Do you have any tips?

Well I guess this project is done. Wiring lite up like a christmas tree frying everything. All the wiring is fried for the dyna s and who else knows what is fried. Just my luck.

Well that totally sucks. Did you have fuses? Did the whole harness melt or just portions? What were you doing when it fried? You can get another harness for a reasonable price if you decide to continue.

I was charging the battery. I knew I should have taken it off the bike, but for whatever reason decided not too. I guess the dyna s wire swung with the wind in my open garage and got caught on the positve cable for the battery charger. It does suck, but at least the garage didn't burn down. What are the chances the dyna s is still good and I can just rewire it and the regulator/rectifier? I'm thinking they are all shot and need replaced.
