Found me a kz650 in Oklahoma, hey yall
07 Nov 2009 17:10
Hey I'm Paul. I just got the bug again for a motorcycle. I havem't had one since I got married 5 years ago. I've had a
1995 suzuki gn125, 1978 honda 400 , 2002 honda 900cb I bought brand new and totalled it. After I wrecked it I figured I used up all my luck for awhile since I was going 90mph and wrecked with no helmet and just broke my leg.
Well I saw this ad for a 1980 kz650. It was pretty cheap so I thought it would be in bad condition. I wasent looking for a project but I called anyway. the guy said it was in good shape and only had 12,000 miles. I asked if it had spoke wheels because I was really looking for that vintage look. I was alittle disapointed that it had mags, but after seeing it, I didn't care.
This is my 1980 kz650e1. Mostly original that I can see, ven the exhaust. Seriously ,it rides as good as the brand new honda cb900 I bought. It shifts smooth and the motor is a sewing machine. I went on a great ride around the lake by my house today. It was 80 degreee's today.

Paul, Welcome to KZR nation, Yes it looks to be original and in very good shape, who would have ever believed that you could find a bike from the 60s,70s,80s,machined very well, well balanced, estately pleasing to the eye,and a dream to ride and control?Kawasaki did, ride on.the invasion continues regards Duke

Yeah its really amazing how natural it feels. I felt comfortable the second I got on the bike. I'm pretty picky about some stuff, but there's nothing to complain about with this bike.
