Noob From Indy
06 Nov 2009 07:47
Hey guys. Got my 1st bike over the summer. I bought a '79 650SR. Bike is 95% original. This is my third bike forum and am glad to see the wealth of information on this site vs. the other ones. I think everybody in an advance for assistance as I do some work on my bike this winter.

The person I bought the bike from lowered it. I am going to take the struts off the back and put shocks on it. I am going to lower the front forks the right way so I can take the clipons off and put a stock looking handle bar on it. The bike is to nice to hack up so its going to remain close to stock and use it as a commuter bike for the summers. I am going to replace the valve gasket, replace the tires and get a Z1R quarter fairing from air tech. They have one they made that has been modified to fit a smaller wind screen.
