Just a couple of pics of my dragbike
04 Nov 2009 20:46
This is my 1428 dragbike the pictures arent great but its all i could find for right now.I built this bike myself. When I started on it all I had was a bare 77 KZ1000 frame,an empty wallet and my wedding coming up 7 months down the road. I did all the chassis work, body work,Paint work, motor work etc. Don McCommon in Bartlett Tn. built the wheelie bars for me. If you need a race chassis built he is the man to go to. It took me about a year to build this bike and alott of blood, sweat and tears. The hardest part was having to sit there and stare at it unable to work on it while saving up to buy that next part. Let me know what ya think

Thanks man!!! this is the first time ive ever posted any pictures online of anything ive done i was kinda nervous. I noticed in your signature you have an rd 350. My dad has an rd400 Daytona that im getting ready to go through and redo for him. It has a set of DG heads and chambers. Its a real fast bike he just cant keep pistons in it. Its leaning out on No.1 and Burning a dime size hole in the piston.

I have always thought that body style was one of the best out there...next to the Z1 that is! LOL So...what does it run? Had it out yet? What track do you run it at? I personally run at Cordova, Illinois and Byron, Illinois with my streetbike and hopefully dragbike next year. We all know what it's like to have to sit there and wait for a part but that just makes it more enjoyable once you get to ride it. When you get a chance, we would all like to see many more pictures and much more information on what you have it her. Most guys here are street riders with a few racers thrown in but we all enjoy this bike called KZ. Welcome aboard and hope to see you around here a lot more. We like to pick each others brains for help and sounds like you are going to be a big help around here.

I had a Daytona Special back in the early 80's. That is one bike I wish I still had. I traded it for a 1971 Dodge Demon 340 4 speed that I wraped around my neighbors VW beetle. That sucked because I was out a bad ass bike and a bad ass Mopar. Here is a pic of the RD350
