New Member from Omaha, Nebraska

Greetings folks. My name is Paul and I'm a new owner of a 1980 KZ440B cafe bike. All the work to this bike was done two owners ago and when I saw it on craigs, I couldn't resist. I've always been a kawi fan and have 05 zx6rr track bike. The 440 doesn't perform nearly like the ninja but it looks awesome in my opinion. The previous owner of the KZ stripped it to the frame removed a bunch of stock parts, built rearset and tail section, installed clip-ons and painted everything. The bike doesn't need much in my opinion apart from a few maintenance items (chain, sprockets, brake pads, etc...). I hope to tap into the wealth of knowledge and experience on this site to help me along.

A small front fender would finish it off nicely for a cafe racer.

Totally agree...lol. I do have the front fender just haven't gotten around to put it on. Just got the bike Wednesday and actually got to ride it for the first time an hour ago. When I went to pick it up in a town an hour and a half away, it was raining pretty bad.

Cool looking bike

That's one of those bikes that looks like it will be a blast to have fun on. It's not always the biggest, baddest bikes that are the most fun to ride. Looks like fun!

About 90th and Pacific...guess that's considered mid-town noawadays.

It definitely is much more about the basic motorcycling experience than outright performance...that's what the track is for . It handled and sounded great. Stumbled a bit at first but those carbs only have the velocity stack; not even a screen so it's real cold blooded. The front break will definitely need some attention though. I'm not sure how much you can improve drums but I grabbed a handful and not much happened LOL.
